This holiday workshop gets kids outdoors mixing art with rocks and a dash of geology. They kick off with a guided wander through the National Rock Garden, eyeballing stones hauled in from all over Australia and picking up quirky tales about how the earth cooked them up over millions of years.

After soaking in the inspiration from these ancient chunks, the young ones get hands on to whip up their own rock art creation, something solid to take home and show off, because who wouldnt want a pet rock with personality.
