On 3 September 2026, features a laidback 5km or 10km run along the shores of Lake Burley Griffin as part of the Hands Across Canberra Appeal. Entry fees get donated to Hands Across Canberra, which chips in for essential services and backs local charities and community projects to help out those doing it tough.

Everyone's invited, whether youre a grizzled runner who lives for the burn or a newbie who might confuse 10km with a brisk stroll to the pub. Its just a chance to huff around the lake while quietly doing some good.
