At Papilio, children are encouraged to explore their natural curiosity and build upon their independence and self-help skills, with the support of passionate, highly-qualified early childhood educators.
Staff provide a safe and warm, environment for each child to encourage their development and learning, and helping them discover their own unique abilities and individuality!
There are three age-appropriate programs to choose from.
The nursery program provides a warm, safe environment for your baby to learn and grow during their first year of life. Their caring educators develop nurturing relationships with your baby, building trust and maintaining your home routine to ensure your baby’s daily transition into care is smooth.
The learning and play spaces are specially designed with age-appropriate toys and furniture so your baby can freely learn about the world in a cosy, safe environment. Each baby has their own cot with sheets included, as well as nappies and meals provided.
As a toddler, children are opening up to new challenges as their communication skills expand and they learn to concentrate, experiment and play. Educators support this magical phase through a program of play-based learning activities to help them explore their own interests and strengths.
Australia’s Early Years Learning 'Framework, Belonging, Being and Becoming', is at the heart of our approach to early years education. The framework’s emphasis is on play-based learning. This includes things like singing to help your child learn about language; drawing with crayons to help them express their feelings and encourage writing; playing with shapes and patterns to develop their problem-solving skills; and group activities to build their social skills.
Passionate educators deliver a school readiness program that specialises in allowing your child to slowly adapt to the new school environment socially, emotionally and mentally before they even arrive. This program teaches the children a variety of literacy and numeracy skills, including how to write their names, identification of simple numbers and shapes, recognition skills, such as identifying their school bags, and a range of communications skills, tools and tactics.
All centres offer the Healthy Bodies program, which focuses on getting kids moving through daily scheduled physical activity time, daily yoga activities, weekly sport sessions, specialist incursions and key learning activities to help children understand what their bodies can do as they grow.
Papilio Early Learning also offers healthy, fresh meals and snacks - all prepared on site by an in-house cook. They also run hands-on, weekly cooking demonstrations and classes for the children to help them learn more about food and nutrition.
Nappies and sheets are also provided to make life for families just that little bit easier!
