Roll up, roll up! The Canberra Circus Festival is making a stop in the ACT this April with an entourage of acrobats, magicians, clowns, jugglers and a super-silly spy duo in tow.

This award-winning and internationally touring circus will visit Chifley, Canberra from April 18th to 23rd to celebrate the wonder and artistry of circus. Brought to you by Warehouse Circus, you will find a HUGE lineup of performances and something for every age and interest, including shows for families with young kids and those with kids of mixed age ranges too!

Morning and afternoon matinee shows will run all week between 18th and 22nd April so you can find the best time for your family. Come along and experience a real circus Big Top, with shows taking place all day on Festival Market Day on Saturday, 22nd April.



Alongside the colourful array of shows, Market Day will also feature makers’ craft stalls, international food, community information stalls, free circus workshops for all ages and abilities, plus low-cost 'come 'n’ try' classes in the Warehouse Circus training space next door. The Chifley Health and Wellbeing Hub will be open, with some fantastic local organisations opening their doors for tours and information.

Also on Saturday, 22nd April, two shows - Suitcase Circus and Oat Milk & Honey - will be Auslan interpreted sessions, while Interloper is speech-free, providing an amazing run of shows suitable for audiences who speak Auslan or are hearing impaired.
 


Just some of the all-ages and family shows you can find at the festival include:
 
Her Majesty’s Secret Circus : This super-silly spy duo - amazing international guests from the UK - are here on a super-secret-spy mission! This is a truly special show featuring heaps of comedy, stunts and plunger-topped arrows that has to be seen to be believed.
 
Big Tops & Tiny Tots : Children aged 3-7 years are invited to join Luth on a silly circus adventure! This custom-designed circus show for young children is a fun journey with messages about resilience and healthy eating through plenty of plate-spinning, hula hooping and unicycling!
 
Dr Hubble’s Bubbles : There is something truly magical about bubbles, whatever your age! The charming and friendly Dr Hubble takes the wonder of Bubble Art to the extreme, with one lucky participant invited to stand inside a giant bubble!
 


Party Pooper : Who’s ready for a PARTY! Party Pooper is a truly silly but totally impressive circus spectacular for all ages. Get ready to party with the dynamic trio of talented all-rounder acrobats and jugglers and be amazed by their feats.

The Ridiculous Show : Boring? No way. Ridiculous? Of course! This show is utterly ridiculous, in fact, featuring ridiculous stunts, ridiculous outfits and a pretty interesting broom. It’s great silly comedy fun for all ages.
 
Interloper : Interloper is so many things packed into one show. Sweet, gentle, fun, funny, astonishing, thoughtful and featuring genuinely jaw-dropping acrobatics. It’s a real treat for all ages and is brought to you by an all-star Australian cast that have toured the world with CiRCA, Gravity & Other Myths, Circus Oz, Les Sept Doights de la Main, plus gold-medal winning Canberra Acrobat Lewie West.



Suitcase Circus : You may get tired by watching this full hour of non-stop acrobatics from the crew at Suitcase Circus. It’s fun, impressive aerials, acrobatics, world-class juggling and heaps more, all for your amazement.

Tricky Nick : Tricky Nick is a magician and an idiot. No, really, check out his website . He is also highly accomplished, multi-award winning magician, comedian and author Nicholas J Johnson! You’ll be mesmerised in this hour of fun and funny illusions - if you love magic, you’ll love Tricky Nick!
