The 2026 is a two day agricultural event at Exhibition Park in Canberra where breeders and bird enthusiasts gather to parade chickens, ducks, geese and turkeys. Competitive judging covers breed type, condition and presentation, and there are displays of rare and heritage poultry that seem to relish the spotlight. Expect a lot of carefully preened feathers and an impressive demonstration of the pecking order.

Around the pavilions you can wander through exhibitions, watch egg competitions and browse trade stalls selling feed, gear and other poultry paraphernalia. It is a relaxed, family friendly way to learn a bit more about poultry keeping and farming culture, or to enjoy an afternoon observing birds being simultaneously practical and oddly photogenic.
