With a range of exciting, resource-rich environments that includes an open-plan outdoor space, vegetable gardens and worm farm, children are encouraged to explore and learn.
There is something new and exciting to discover every day, with a sustainability program, compost bin, active recycle program and cooking classes. The all-ages outdoor space includes natural stones, grassed spaces, trees and sandpits that promote discovery and adventure.
As part of the centre’s strong community focus, children from age group participate in regular excursions to various locations, such as the community garden, library and local shopping area.
The centre also has an on-site chef who prepares five nutritionally balanced meals using seasonal ingredients every day.
To further explore food and nutrition, the chef runs fortnightly cooking lessons and has a designated spot for children to sit and watch her cook.
The Canberra Crochet Club meets on a regular basis to learn crochet, meet other local mums, and to have a good chat. Whether you're a complete beginner or a seasoned pro, everyone is welcome to come along.
