Hi I'd like to ask a question to the group. I'm 38 weeks pregnant with my second. I had a natural drug free birth last time and as amazing as that experience was, I really really want to get to use epidural this time as I am still very scared of the pain. Even though I did it without drugs and I know I can do it again, id like to avoid it if I can. I want to know if there are any strategies to enhance my chance of getting epidural as I know second birth can go really really quick and there may not be enough time to administer epidural. I'm planning on ringing the birthing number as soon as I have a bit of contractions but would the midwife let you go in? I want to know peoples experience, ie how they get epidurals for second/ multi births. Thanks!
