Book now for these after school, term 4 and school holiday 2020 filmmaking workshops just for kids and teens!

Is your child a budding young filmmaker, or loves to tell creative stories? They could benefit from taking part in Canberra’s premier filmmaking workshops for kids and teens!

Since 2016, Sanguineti Media have been guiding and instructing young filmmakers to tell a wide range of stories through film in fun, educational, practical workshops.

Facilitated by Canberra film producer, Dan Sanguineti, and with support from Screen Canberra, Film Plus, Canberra Technology Park and the Canberra Short Film Festival, the workshops focus on creativity and team building.

The current workshops include an 8-week, after school program during term 4 program, starting on October 28, plus a 2020 Summer School Holiday Workshop.

After School Workshop

Suitable for years 7 to 10, these workshops run every Monday from 28th October between 4pm to 6pm. Attendees will write, plan, film, edit and screen their very own short film!

In Term 4 the film theme will be sustainability and environment, with filmmakers encouraged to tell a story that involves saving the planet.

All equipment and resources are provided - the kids just have to bring the ideas.

Summer Filmmaker Workshop 2020

The long summer school holidays are a fantastic time for your child to learn a new skill or hobby, like filmmaking!

There are two programs - the Junior Program for ages 9-12 years and the Hero Program for ages 13-17 years.

Both are 5-day programs which run from Monday, 20th January to Friday, 24th January 2020.

As part of the Junior Program, participants will produce a script, learn basic camera skills and sound equipment, film and edit.

During the Hero Program, students will also produce a script, film their movie using a wider range of filmmaking equipment, plus be exposed to more advanced editing programs.

Don’t miss this opportunity for your child to take part in Canberra’s premier filmmaking workshop and unleash their creative talents!
