Are you looking to find a new hobby, to reignite that creative spark, and to make new friends?
The Canberra Crochet Club meets on a regular basis to learn crochet, meet other local mums, and to have a good chat. Whether you're a complete beginner or a seasoned pro, everyone is welcome to come along.
These 3 hour classes take place on Saturdays at Altree Court, Woden. You'll be guided by professional instructors who can help you learn from scratch if you're a beginner.
The beginners class is designed for those who have had little to no experience with a crochet hook. You will learn the crochet basics and terminology and we'll get you started on your very own granny square.
Those who have done the beginners class or have prior experience with crocheting can come along to the Crochet Stitches Class, Corner to Corner Class (C2C) or Grantastic Square Class and learn how to make three amazing crochet stitches; Puff, Shell and V-Stitch.
Amigurumi for Beginners classes will be starting in June. Amigurumi is the Japanese art of crocheting small cute creatures. It's the latest craze in the crochet world!
Learn step by step with our Instructors on the basics of Amigurumi and start on a easy project during the class.
You are also most welcome to bring your baby and toddlers along (or not!) if they are happy to sit and entertain themselves.
All classes include crochet materials and instruction as well as a non-alcoholic drink during the class.
All mums with an interest in crochet (whether you have been to a meetup or not) are also invited to join the Canberra Crochet Club Facebook group where you can share your crochet projects, find inspiration, make mummy friends, and also just have a good yarn!
